Dexter Update

He sounds like a dinosaur doesn't he? = )

Today has been an awesome day! Dexter is coming along right on track developmentally despite the issues with reflux. It is so reassuring that he is ok and he will grow out of this one day. It is easy to doubt when night after night, and day after day, you only see a crying, uncomfortable little boy.

The best development of all has been his smile (been doing that a few weeks) and his laugh (new this week!). He has been smiling and half laughing as he drifted off to sleep for a little over a week, but yesterday when we came home was the first time he really laughed for us. Today, as I walked past his bouncer with laundry I heard a noise and looked down and he was kicking at his toys and laughing again. Yippie!!!!! Our little boy may actually be a happy baby!

Also a plus, he slept from midnight to 5am last night, napped at home today, AND slept in the car(a first here in Houston!).

To celebrate I'm baking another loaf of bread!

O.K. Dexter might be the cutest baby ever! I love the smile!
Whitney - I can't belive you would feel guilty about Dexter's crying. I certainly know how you feel since Sander had stomach problems as a baby too, but you should never feel guilty. You and Sander are great parents.
Love you,
Tonya

What a sweet smile! It makes everything be forgotten (at least temporarily until the crying begins again)

We had a little dino too. Michael called him his "little teradactyl"
