Loving the Husband

Monday, February 14

Happy Valentine's day all!

Today, Sander is home from work after 6 days working 16 hour days on an off-shore oil rig platform (as I was just informed..."it's not a rig, it's a platform".  Now we know.)  He is tired, to say the least, so I thought I would try and pamper him for a change on Valentine's day.

I'm going to make these chocolate peanut-butter cups (one of his favorite candies) this afternoon.  They look so easy and quite delicious.  I am going to use my favorite brand of natural peanut-butter...I have high hopes.  I'll let you know how easy they turn out to be.

One other thing I wanted to pass on, on a day like today when we are thinking of love and such, is a list of 30 things you can pray for your husband.  I have written them into my daily calendar so I see them each day, and it is an easy reminder to pray for him each day.  When each day seems the same as the next, it is nice to have a list reminding me to pray for these different areas of his life.

Here's the list:
  1. Wife
  2. Work
  3. Finances
  4. Intimacy
  5. Affection
  6. Temptations
  7. Mind
  8. Fears
  9. Purpose
  10. Choices
  11. Health
  12. Protection
  13. Trials
  14. Integrity
  15. Reputation
  16. Fatherhood
  17. Past
  18. Attitude
  19. Marriage
  20. Emotions
  21. Walk
  22. Talk
  23. Repentance
  24. Deliverance
  25. Obedience
  26. Self-image
  27. Faith
  28. Future
  29. Priorities
  30. Relationships
