Bumper pad - the process

Wednesday, April 8

Today I finally started on the bumper pad. I made the pattern, cut the fabric, and sewed it up today! All I need to do now is add the binding and ties - should finish that tomorrow if I decide to apply the binding by machine. I'm a selective perfectionist, so we'll see if I decide that I can sew it on straight enough that way.
Above you see the Juki in action...oh how I love my industrial machine. How did I live without it?

Here I am pin basting it together. Not as precise as hand basting, but it worked fine with this thick batting.

I still love this fabric!

Here is is...all quilted up and waiting for binding. Stay tuned!

I love that fabric too! Where did you get it?

Its from the "My Foklore" line and I bought it on etsy. A Japanese company makes it and lots of other super cute novelty fabrics.

I'm loving your fabric choices! The nursery will look terrific. You're doing a great job!
