Halloween meets Diwali

First we met up with our friends Gopi and Akil to carve pumpkins. Since this is their first Halloween in the US, they wanted to know what it was all about.

Then they took us to a Diwali celebration. It is the biggest festival in the Hindi religion where they celebrate the triumph of good over evil. It is the festival of lights - as the light signifies the triumph. There was music, dancing, amazing food, and so much more. Dexter got a little tired towards the end - but thankfully the Moby worked, even with the LOUD music. Yea MOBY!
