Merry Christmas!!
Friday, December 31
Since today is the last day of the year, I figured I better rush to blog about Christmas.
We had a wonderful time with Dexter this year. Watching his joy -- dancing in place and making little squeals -- everytime he saw/opened a gift was great. It made everyone feel like a little kid again and really upped the joy levels for me this year. Dexter's cousin Stephen also enjoyed Christmas and made it a lot more fun. Can't wait to see how they enjoy the years to come. We also really enjoyed celebrating with both sides of the family, as the pictures indicate. You can see the whole album, complete with videos, here.
On Christmas Eve we changed up tradition a little and attended church with Victoria at Irving Bible Church. We were running a bit late and got there just as the service started. It was so full, they almost turned us away at the door to the balcony. But after I explained we would just have to go home, they let us come as long as we agreed to stand in the back. I am so glad they did. It was a beautiful service and set just the right tone for the rest of the night.
As for A Christmas Card...I planned to send out a New Year's email like I did at Easter, but the one fabulous picture we got is stuck in technical limbo on my sister's camera. Hopefully we will have it this weekend, so it may just go out a little later than normal. Oh well, better late than never.
