Dexter, I can't believe it has been 730 days since you were born. To be honest, it is hard to remember a day you weren't a part of our family.  We love you dearly and can't wait to see what this next year brings.

Favorite animal: Dog/Penguin (Tacky to be exact)
Favorite food: Hummus!
Favorite drink: Milk
Favorite thing to do with Daddy: "Hook" -- swing from his arms
Favorite thing to do with Mommy: Play with toys on the floor or read

Newest skill: Putting more complicated puzzles together/ making 2 and 3 word sentences
Favorite comfort item(s): Blanket and pacifier
Favorite outdoor activity: Playing in a bucket of water
Favorite Song: Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts, or Old MacDonald Had a Farm
Favorite Book: Where the Wild Things Are/His baby book/Tootle/Ooops!

You are changing and learning new things all the time.  Each day we get to know you a little better.  One thing you constantly amaze us with is your growing sense of humor.  You seem to want to entertain us, anyone you meet, and of course yourself, at every turn.  The one thing you do now that always makes mommy laugh, even though she never lets you know, is take a drink and then let it dribble out of your mouth as you look around and laugh really loud. 

Sometimes you are still shy around new children, other times you decide to entertain them all and make fast friends with everyone. 

You love your time with Ms. Donna at the church nursery and Ms. Janice at Clay Road Mother's Day Out.  You usually just strut right into class without looking back and have even cried when I came early because you still wanted to play.

You have changed so much over this past year.  You took your first steps at your 1 year birthday party, and now you run, jump with both feet, walk backward, and climb the ladders at the playground.  You can even ride a scooter!

We love you Dexter!!  We are so happy you are part of our family.
