Move: Phase I
Sunday, May 15
Wow! We had such an amazing amount of help this past Saturday!! I really can't say thank you enough to everyone who turned up (even when we had to change the weekend at the last minute due to the bank messing up our original closing!).
We were able to move most of the items from our current house to the new one, and even started unpacking! When we first planned the move I was in my 2nd trimester and felt great, now that I am in my 3rd and feeling it a little more, it was truly a blessing to have the help (especially for things like cleaning ceiling fans and scrubbing tile!!).
Here are the official "before" pictures. Dexter's room and the nursery aren't true before pics. We had a painter come Friday so we could go ahead and set those rooms up while we decide what to do in the rest of the house.
**Interesting fact: We met several of our neighbors yesterday, one of which brought over 2 dozen donuts for everyone! The other neighbor was super sweet and told us how they lived on the street behind our houses and decided to move 8-10 years ago. They moved by cutting a hole in the fence and moving things through the backyard! I loved that. I felt silly saying we were only moving 2 blocks away, but they moved to the house in their backyard!
