Why I haven't Been Blogging
Tuesday, May 3
I may not be blogging much these days, but I sure am blog stalking all the fabulous house design/remodel blogs that are out there. There is so much info! Want to know how to paint cheap laminate furniture without sanding? How about the best process and supplies for painting a damaged wood floor? Want to figure out the best color scheme for a small bathroom or brainstorm the best way to put curtains up in an alcove window? All of this can be found for free, with great step by step tutorials, and TONS of comments from people who have tried it before you. All it costs is time. Lots, and lots, and lots of web-surfing time. But, from that time spent at the laptop, I have created amazing collections of inspiration photos and, most importantly, the confidence to do some "different" and beautiful things to my new house.
Of course, along the way packing has to be done as well. Here are a few shots from around the house.
I can't believe in a few short weeks we will say goodbye to this sweet house that has nurtured our first little baby into toddlerhood...and really nutured Sander and I into adulthood. I will certainly be sad to go, but am so excited about the possibilities in the new house.
I plan totake lots of before, during, and after pictures of my projects around the house. Since I am 29 weeks pregnant and the clock is ticking, I know this house won't be put together anytime soon...but it should be a fabulously fun process! Can't wait to hit the Guild shop again as I get ready to put this house together!
